Auto Refresh Guides
A page that reloads itself saves you from pressing F5 over and over while you wait for a price, a ticket release, a new job post or a report to update. Browsers don't offer this out of the box, so these guides show you every practical way to do it.
Start with the Chrome guide if you just want a page to refresh on a timer. Use the browser guide if you are on Microsoft Edge, Brave or Opera. If extensions are blocked on your computer, the no-extension guide covers the console, the meta refresh tag and a bookmarklet, with the limits of each.
Two guides help you use auto refresh well. The interval guide suggests how often to reload for tickets, sales, prices, dashboards and job boards, and when fast reloading does more harm than good. The session guide explains why websites sign you out and how a sensible timer keeps you logged in without hammering the site.
Every guide uses plain steps and is kept up to date. The simplest method throughout is Auto Refresh Plus, our free Chrome extension, but each guide also covers ways to do it without installing anything.
